Learning from good practice in college based higher education
The QAA has knowledge bases which can be searched through their website. These allow you to search for examples of Good Practice which have been identified in reviews and for Recommendations. They can be used to search for examples of colleges conducting and disseminating research and scholarly activity.
For previous reviews of colleges, select Good Practice and for Type of Review either Review of College Higher Education (RCHE) or Integrated Quality and Enhancement Review (IQER) and then enter research or scholarly activity in the keyword search; the appropriate entries will come up for each college. You can narrow the search down by Theme or by section of the Quality Code, e.g. ‘B3 Learning and Teaching’.
The current method of review, Higher Education Review (HER), is common to HEIs and colleges but searching these reviews you will find the first reviews are of colleges and it will be possible to search on different types of provider in the future.
